The water swivel is connected to the top of the drillrod string and provides a watertight seal between the rotating and non-rotating parts of the string, allowing water or other drilling fluids to be pumped through the drillstring.
Our standard water swivels illustrated here are complete with lifting bail and have a 2-ton or 5-ton safe working load (static).
Maximum rotation speed is 2500 rpm. The side inlet port has a 3/4" or 1" BSP connection.
The spindle of the water swivel is made from high-grade alloy steel and is hard chrome plated to resist wear. The spindle is susspended in the water swivel body by a double bearing arrangement.
At the bottom end of the spindle is a left-hand thread to which an appropriate adaptor can be coupled in order to connect the swivel to the drill rods. Shown here the 5-ton water-swivel has an adaptor with NWY drill rod pin connection.
