Core Barrel Selection

      TT Series Core Barrel
Ultra-thin walled double tube core barrels, hole diameters 46 and 56 mm. Very thin cutting face allows very rapid rate of penetration through hard formations. Often used in underground mining applications.

      T2 Series Core Barrel
Thin-walled double tube core barrels, hole diameters 56, 66, 76, 86 and 101 mm. Used for surface exploration, especially mining applications.
Rapid penetration due to thin kerf area.
      TBW and TNW Core Barrels
Thin-walled double tube core barrels, as T2 series but with DCDMA hole sizes B and N
Used for surface exploration, especially mining applications. Rapid penetration due to thin kerf area.
      T6 Series Core Barrel
Double-tube core barrels, hole diameters 101, 116, 131 and 146 mm. Surface mining and geotechnical applications.
      WF Series Core Barrel
Heavier-walled double tube core barrels, fit in DCDMA casing sizes, H, P, S and U. Used for surface exploration, mining and getechnical applications. Simple construction and more resilient to damage than thin-wall barrels.
      412 Core Barrel
Core barrel specifically designed for use with air flush. Similar design to WF series except larger annulus between inner and outer tubes. Surface exploration, open-cast mining and geotechnical.
      B Series Core Barrel
Single tube core barrels, hole diameters 46 -146 mm. Often used in situations where core preservation is not essential and for concrete coring.
      Wireline Core Barrel
Wireline core barrel and overshot in sizes A, B, N, H and P. Used for deep mineral exploration. Inner tube is retractable on the wireline, eliminating the need for rod tripping.
      Triple-tube Wireline Core Barrel
Same as standard wireline but contains a third split inner tube. Designed for situations in which core is soft, used in conjunction with face discharge core bits.
      Corientator Core Barrel
Special core barrels with built-in core orientation device. Used when core orientation is required.
      Coreliner
Transparent PVC tubes inserted into a double-tube core barrel to form a third tube. Gives superior core preservation and presentation.
      Mylar
A thin transparent film, inserted into the inner tube of a core barrel to acts as a retainer for the core. Superior core preservation. Easier to transport than coreliners.
