Sinker bars

Sinker bars are used to add weight to cable percussion tools, or to drive casing into the ground. Standard sinker bars are 41/2″ (114.3 mm) in diameter, with an effective length of 40″ (1.0 m) and weigh approximately 80 kg each. The top sinker bar has a strong swivel eye, designed to our own specification, and secured by a tapered nut and pin.

Standard sinker bars are 41/2″ (114.3 mm) in diameter, with an effective length of 40″ (1.0 m) and weigh approximately 80 kg each. The top sinker bar has a strong swivel eye, designed to our own specification, and secured by a tapered nut and pin.

The intermediate sinker bar has 21/4″ x 31/4″ API connections at each end. All sinker bars are provided with two cross holes, or an optional surging slot for driving casing.
A short API swivel rod of 0.3 m effective length, can be supplied for starting the borehole or lifting tools in situations where there is low headroom.
